This five day intensive course is for those looking to become a certified swiftwater rescue instructor. The American Canoe Association is the governing body for this swiftwater rescue instructor course. Candidates must first be members of the ACA. In order to do well in this course, we recommend having taken two, 2 day swiftwater rescue clinics (ACA, Rescue 3, or other two day course). Those wishing to certify highly should have swiftwater rescue teaching experience and have proficiency in SWR skills.
It is highly recommended that individuals flying in from out of state purchase travel insurance to safeguard against any unexpected trip interruptions or delays.

All classes begin at 9am and end at ~5pm.

This course is for those who are already certified as an ACA Swiftwater Rescue Instructor, and need to complete an update course to maintain and renew their certification.

ACA Requirements:
• Instructors shall be at least 18 years of age
• Maintain current ACA Membership and SEIC dues
• Maintain an appropriate level of First Aid and age appropriate CPR trainings
